We have still managed some ground-based stuff and Catherine Leather ran a very successful ‘Become a FS Coach’ weekend. She went through all the British Skydiving manuals and talked about topics such as mechanics, briefing and debriefing. Everyone learnt loads, and thank you to Eric and Kat for also helping. We hope to run another of these seminars this year so keep an eye on our events page if you are interested.

Like most we think it’s been the worst start to any season for a long time but we are trying to keep upbeat and are planning events for when we can jump again.

Adding to our ever-growing list, we have a British Skydiving Speed Coaching Roadshow. If you fancy giving it a go, Mikey Lovemore will be on hand to tempt you into going at speeds you would never think possible.

Joel Strickland has arrived and dates for his freefly organising are on our experienced page along with MicroClim8’s and Team Groomed’s roadshows and organising.

Other new events this year are FS organising with Brian Cumming and later the Bradley Twins will be here encouraging those that would like to get into big-ways.

If you haven’t already done so and would like to join Siân, Billy Payn and Lesley Gale for their Big-Way Skillz Skool, then look at our events page and register as soon as you can.

In other news, Kris Cavill was successful in collecting his Advanced Instructor rating down at Nethers, congrats Kris and we wish Eloy and Paul success in their up and coming instructor courses.

With the new bar now complete, at the end of the jumping day the main area of the clubhouse will be closed, and we would like to ask all skydivers not to leave their kit in the main area. This is to make sure nothing can get damaged or misplaced as more and more people try and eat and drink in there during the day.

We hope to have the entries and rules available for all the teams for the British Skydiving FS Nationals in 4- and 8-way and 4-way VFS by early April, so keep an eye out for that. Don’t forget, we have great deals for teams who are serious about team training.

All our events are on our Facebook pages and website for you to keep up to date.
