Retired Member

Become a Retired Member

If you are a Full member but no longer jump or take an active part in skydiving but still wish to retain membership, taking out FULL MEMBERSHIP ‘RETIRED’ may be the most economical way to go.

Retired members are permitted to vote at General meetings and will continue to receive the bi-monthly issues of the British Skydiving Journal Skydive the Mag.

However, FULL MEMBERSHIP 'RETIRED' does not include Third Party Liability Insurance, or the right to attend coaching or instructor courses, for those who are active in skydiving. Any skydiving ratings, qualifications or certificates of competence are not valid whilst being a ‘Retired’ member.

Criteria to Join

To be eligible for Full British Skydiving Membership (Retired) the applicant must have been a Full British Skydiving member for a minimum of one year.

If at any time during the 12 months of ‘Retired’ membership, up to 31st March each year, the ‘Retired’ member wishes to resume active skydiving or associated activities, that member must take out Full membership. To do so the member must contact British Skydiving HQ. There will be an additional charge to take into account Third-Party Liability Insurance cover and other benefits.
