As I write this club news, we have literally finished the presentation for the 8-way FS Nationals.

Starting last weekend with the 4-way FS Competition, attended by 40 teams and also the VFS Nationals with 6 teams, we were lucky enough to have a visit by Mr Sunshine and completed by the Sunday afternoon, having done 130 lifts over the 2 days. Im sure there will be a huge write up in the mag for this but well done to everyone that competed and all the winners, especially our very own sponsored NFTO, who not only won the AAA category for the 2nd year in a row but also the prestigious Queens Cup from the Royal Aero Club.

After the presentations, the party started and continued well into the night.

On the Monday, despite a long night of celebration and thinking we would be relatively quiet, we had a great day of jumping and even managed a 24-way formation load organised by Mr Jack Davies.

On top of this, Paul Cooper took a group of Freefliers, some fresh from the VFS competition and broke the HD UK Vertical ‘Clean Break’ Sequential Record with a 12 way and holding the 2nd point for 13 seconds. Well done guys.

The following weekend saw the start of the 8-way FS competition and 5 teams attended. 4 in Senior and 1 in Intermediate. Mr Sunshine decided not to be so sociable and brought along Mr Wind, meaning the event didn’t complete until first thing Monday morning. Again, well done to everyone that took part and congratulations to the medal winners.

So, going into the last quarter of the year, we still have plenty to look forward to and after the words are printed, we have Lesley, Milko and Sian here with their Euro Big Way camp. Hoping to achieve 3 plane formations. Then the following weekend we have the Wingsuiters to hopefully break their record, in October the SOS gang will try again for their record, which was sadly postponed in July due to the weather and Mr Jim Bradwell is here load organising.

Next year, we will be hosting 3 Flight 1 courses. These dates are on the websites already, so if you are interested please book as soon as you can.

All our other events, including Load Organising and Coaching can be found on our FB Experienced jumpers page.
