Summer continues to be busy here at Skydive Headcorn as we hosted a variety of events. Brian Cumming returned for Scrambles and his Bigway event, the weather granted enough reprise for 6 jumps on the Saturday leaving plenty of time for exit briefs, jumpsuit discussions and debriefs on why pushing people off the plane may not be the best exit strategy. A freefly event was organised and run by our locals Mike Morton, Diggers and Luke Clayden and was enjoyed by all who attended, especially Sopey who enjoyed the leftover beer.
Club members have also undertaken various forays to various Nationals with varying degrees of success. 6 broken ribs and a bruised liver may not count as sucess however! Mend soon Chris!
Mary got a Bronze in Dutch 2 way CF Nationals, Pete and Janos achieved a Silver and Bronze at the Accuracy Nationals and Bejay and Ross went up to 4 way Nationals with a winning team name of Ice Bank Mice Elf 2.
Achievements have also been made closer to home with Hayley (finally) obtaining her C Licence after 4 years, 9 months and 27 days. Her FS coach rating followed shortly after. August 29th was a day for comebacks with several club members reappearing after absences. Bim (1 year), Kristina (1 year) and Craig Colgan (8 years) all came jumping and enjoyed the late summer sun!
