The LearnDash dashboard provides a streamlined way to manage key course elements like quizzes, questions, certificates, and groups. Here’s an overview of each tab and its functionality:

1. Quizzes

Quizzes are essential for assessing learner progress and understanding.

  • Adding Quizzes:
    • Use the “Add New” button in the Quizzes tab to create a new quiz.
    • Alternatively, navigate to your course and use the Course Builder to add a quiz directly to the course structure.
  • Storage and Grading:
    • All created quizzes are stored in this tab for easy access and management.
    • If your quiz includes essay-style open-answer questions, this is where learners’ essays will be stored for grading.

2. Questions

Quiz questions are organised separately for better accessibility and management.

  • Adding Questions:
    • Use the “Add New” button in the Questions tab to create standalone questions.
    • Alternatively, go to the Quiz Builder and add questions directly to a specific quiz.
  • Centralised Storage: All questions, regardless of the quiz they belong to, are stored here for easy editing and reuse.

3. Certificates

Certificates serve as recognition for learners’ achievements and can be linked to quizzes, courses, or groups.

  • Quiz Certificates: Learners must pass a specific quiz to receive their certificate.
  • Course Certificates: Learners must complete the entire course to earn the certificate.
  • Group Certificates: Certificates can also be assigned to groups, requiring learners to complete every course within the group to qualify.

Certificates help motivate learners by providing tangible rewards for their progress.

4. Groups

Groups allow you to organise courses and learners into manageable clusters:

  • Course Bundles: Combine multiple courses into a single group to create a structured learning path.
  • Learner Assignment: Assign learners to a group so they all follow the same set of courses.

Groups are an excellent tool for managing cohorts, corporate training, or team-based learning.
