Following on from our previous headline of ‘Anytime soon’, we appear to have another big storm to overcome before being able to jump. Hopefully when you finally read these words, the latest storm will have passed and we might be back to operating.
As we would hope, our events over the summer and autumn are still on the calendar and hopefully the weather will be as kind over this time as it was for the whole of April. All of these are on our Events page on Facebook, if you would like to keep up to date.
But like most DZs, we have continued to engage with our jumpers with some amazing picture competitions, the first being won by Adam Pencharz. The student pictures were good fun and surprising to see how far some have come from those heady days of the static line jumps or AFF levels! There have also been some black and white photos and strange haircuts from way back when to amuse the younger generation. Our latest competition of ‘best geek’ has also been awesome. If you want to check them out, just visit our Experienced page.
Simon has been uploading some very good and informative blogs, which if you haven’t seen, they are also on our Experienced page.
Noel has also been keeping the AFF students busy with online refreshes and seminars. If you are a student and have not joined our Student Facebook page, please do so to keep up to date with what’s happening.
Once we are finally back to normal, we are planning a party to celebrate us all being back together. Kris Cavill has been practising cocktail making during the lockdown so myself, Cav and Noel will host a night where will do our best to make ‘em and shake ‘em for you to enjoy.
Until then, we hope everyone stays safe. We miss not having you at the DZ but we know it’s not going to last forever. Fingers crossed that once you have read this, the storm will be over.
