British Skydiving Safety Notice SN-02/26

British Skydiving has been advised that Aerodyne have issued Service Bulletin SB-300426, following recent consultation and ground testing carried out in the UK. Based on the information provided, British Skydiving is now authorising a partial lifting of the grounding for certain ICON container models, subject to specific conditions.

In summary:

  • The AAD cutter configuration outlined in SB-300426 must be completed and signed off by a British Skydiving Advanced Rigger

  • All work must be recorded on the ICON data card and Record of Inspection

  • Containers endorsed with SB210108 or TB250122 are considered compliant

  • ICON models I4/S4 through I9/S9 (including Nexgen and Pre-Nexgen systems) may return to use once compliant

  • ICON sizes I1 to I3 remain grounded until further notice

British Skydiving will continue to monitor the situation and issue further updates as required.
