British Skydiving Statement Regarding NFTO

British Skydiving proudly recognises NFTO’s extraordinary achievement in winning the World Championships in Female 4-way Formation Skydiving in October 2022. Their success, built on dedication, personal sacrifice, unity, teamwork, and professionalism, has set a high standard in the sport. NFTO’s accomplishments not only demonstrate athletic excellence but also inspire future generations of skydivers, especially aspiring female athletes, aligning with British Skydiving’s commitment to fostering diversity, inclusion, and a welcoming environment where all members are valued. British Skydiving deeply appreciates NFTO’s encouragement of the skydiving community.

However, we are aware that NFTO members have recently issued communications raising concerns about their treatment by British Skydiving, which have been shared with our members and key partners. While we sympathise with the challenges NFTO faced at the time of their achievement, we are disappointed by the dissemination of disparaging and misinformed material. British Skydiving is committed to confidentiality and cannot publicly elaborate on these matters, but we want to reassure our community that we have followed due process throughout and have made every effort to reconcile with NFTO to move forward collaboratively. Unfortunately, as reflected in NFTO’s communications, this has not yet been possible.

Despite these challenges, we remain hopeful that together we can move beyond this, united in our shared passion for skydiving and dedication to inspiring future champions.
