British Skydiving Looks for New Editor of Skydive the Mag

British Skydiving is looking for a new Editor to lead the future of Skydive the Mag.

After 12 years, Liz Ashley has stepped down as our Editor and we are looking for someone to fill her role. We are also at the end of our contract period with Warners, our publishing partner over the past three years. British Skydiving has gone out to tender to consider other publishers and await their responses. Whilst we are not altogether sure on the format of the Mag yet, we need someone with the necessary skills and qualities (below) to lead the way when the new format has been agreed. This position is paid and most recently took on average 12 hours per week, although this varied according to the programme of the Mag.

Our next Editor probably hasn’t even considered applying yet. If you know someone who you think could be perfect for the job, then please TELL THEM

At this stage, we are looking for potential applicants to email info@britishskydiving.org outlining why they are suitable for the role, what they can bring to the role and, ideally, a brief portfolio of previous work and CV.

As our Editor, you’ll need the following skills and qualities

🪂 Good planning and organisational skills
🪂 Excellent English language skills
🪂 Excellent interpersonal and team skills
🪂 Attention to detail
🪂 Creative skills to think up new ideas for the publication
🪂 High level of competency with IT
🪂 To be able to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
🪂 Being an active skydiver is essential
🪂 Knowledge of the skydiving industry
🪂 Holding skydiving ratings is a bonus

Please email info@britishskydiving.org with your details.
