The Sky’s the Limit

We are putting a shout out to all members with a camera at a DZ – British Skydiving is inviting you to share your images and help to showcase British Skydiving’s amazing sportswomen.

British Skydiving has launched a photography competition The Sky’s the Limit.  It’s open to ALL members and has some great prizes up for grabs including sets of 10 jump tickets funded by British Skydiving, which can be used at any affiliated PTO.

This is one of several initiatives we are running with a view to encouraging more women into skydiving and supporting those who are already jumping to remain in the sport and have the best skydiving journey. It builds on some of the good practice seen over recent years in other sports, which has had great results – think women’s football and rugby, and even British Canoeing!

From professional skydivers and elite athletes to those just starting out, from in-air antics to ground-based action, let’s celebrate the athleticism, power, skill, energy, camaraderie, spirit, determination and compassion of women in our sport.

The judges want your images of the amazing women in our sport. That can be women in any role, from the new AFF student to the tandem instructors and our elite athletes. From learning to pack, to working in the rigging rooms and on the control towers, whether taking part in everyday DZ activities or in major events, we want to see and celebrate the skill, strength, passion and hard work of the women in our sport. You don’t have to be a professional photographer to enter either.
We have pulled together a great lineup of prizes ‘Members’ Choice’ and ‘Judges Choice’ winners from some amazing supporters including: Free jumps at a British Skydiving DZ of your choice, a bundle of Jedi Air wear, some Tribe nutrition, goodies from Freefall Gear Store, a mega bundle of outdoor gear from Trespass, a year’s 2022 British Skydiving Membership from Romero Insurance for free and some goodies from XDream Skydiving.

Check out our dedicated webpage for full details on how to enter and some top tips on how to get the best shot in the air or on the ground.
